Nike is our newest addition. She is a little terrier who was rescued by the city pound from the freeway after being hit by a car and having her back broken. It took them 2 days to catch her! She was dragging so fast and she was very scared.
She was captured on a Friday and scheduled for euthanasia on that Sunday. A wonderful rescue here in Houston, Scout’s Honor pulled her from the pound and brought her to us to see if we could help her. She underwent 4 months of rehab, both at a veterinary facility as well as here at home. It became clear to us that she would not regain her ability to stand or walk, so we discontinued. She is happy as she is. That is what we love about cart dogs, they accept what they are given and return to life, adapting to their situation.

October 2013, we began fostering Nike and in January of 2014 we officially adopted her. We fell in love with her spirit and she is a super cart dog. We are Dogs to Go! As you can see, Nike is happy and mobile now. She loves her Dogs to Go cart and can now run and play with our big dogs.
